I absolutely loved this place! Tucked away in the heart of the mountains, it’s surrounded by a stunning garden that adds to its charm. The room was cozy, the bed incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast was done with lots of love. After a month and a half of traveling, I came here seeking peace and quiet, and it was exactly what I needed. The nearby waterfall, just a 30-minute walk away, is an absolute must-see. If you walk a little further past the waterfall, there’s a massive rock where you can sit and take in breathtaking views of the valley below—truly magical. The property also offers a variety of activities, so whether you want to relax, explore, or do a bit of both, it has something for everyone. We stayed at Unuwasi as we had been at a retreat at Munay Sonqo that ended prior to when our flight was scheduled for.
